Quality Assurance Officer

As Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of Sabert Europe products is in line with the company’s customer satisfaction and profitability objectives.

You will also be responsible for the renewal of the management system certifications implemented in the company: BRC, FSC and QA-Cer.

You will also be responsible for meeting the legal obligations regarding waste management declarations and for supporting and relaying the Quality Manager in the field.

 

Actions

At Quality level:

  • You apply the principle of continuous improvement to the management of the quality of products manufactured on the Sabert Europe site
  • You maintain the BRC certification system up to date
  • You will monitor the referencing of products
  • You will be responsible for the back-up of the updated specifications
  • You will manage and follow up the control plans on the conformity of the finished products
  • You manage internal and external complaints through recognised improvement tools such as RCA, 6M diagram, etc.
  • You are in charge of establishing the monthly reporting in relation with the KPI’s related to the quality domain and document the results
  • You are able to provide relevant and appropriate information in response to requests from customers, sales teams within the given timeframe and competent authorities
  • As a specialist, you will be required to provide specific quality training in the field

  • You will work in conjunction with the R&D department

At the Certifications level:

  • You will ensure that the BRC, FSC and QA-Cer system is working properly
  • You will be responsible for informing and training staff on the requirements of the current certification systems
  • Thanks to your skills, you manage internal, customer and third party audits

At the environmental level:

  • You ensure the follow-up of environmental certifications of finished products (compostability, recyclability, etc.)
  • You ensure the backup of environmental declarations (FostPlus, Val I Pac)
  • You measure environmental performance
  • You will manage the administration of data relating to waste

 

Profile

  • You have a higher education in a scientific field
  • You have a good command of written and spoken English
  • You are comfortable with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • You have at least 5 years experience in a quality function
  • Experience in quality management (BRC, HACCP, etc.) is required
  • You are trained in auditing
  • You are a very autonomous person with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Your communication skills are strong both orally and in writing
  • You are known for your interpersonal skills and your assertiveness
  • Curious and critical, you analyse each situation in order to develop action plans for continuous improvement
  • You enjoy working in the field and also enjoy the administrative side of things.
