Product Innovation Manager m/f


The Product Innovation Manager is an actor of sustainable product innovation in the food packaging category, from European market analysis to product launch on the EU market.

A hundred people work at Sabert Corporation Europe, whether in researching solutions adapted to its customers, in production, in developing its sales networks, in logistics or in administration.



The Product Innovation Manager is a key player in sustainable product innovation in the food-packaging category, from European market analysis to product launch on EU market.

As an excellent Project Manager, he/she plays a driving role in the realization of projects by coordinating the various internal and external players.

He/she is responsible for the progress of the company’s products on the market.

He/she is a guarantor of the level of turnover and margin in line with the company’s objectives by developing the brand image of Sabert Europe.

As Product Innovation Manager, you are responsible for the development of new Sustainable products and your tasks are divided as follows:

Analysis phase:
-You analyse the trends and needs of our markets and customers and their evolution.
-You will estimate the market potential.

Creation phase:
-You propose innovative solutions and argue for their development.
-In order to concretize your projects, you look for technical solutions and internal/external partners.
-You give the briefing to the design & engineering team for the product design.
-As a manager, you validate the final design (technical drawings).
-You follow with rigor the prototyping and commissioning phases.
-You carry out product tests with your quality colleagues and market tests with customers.
-In an autonomous way, you determine the references, elaborate the costing, the tariffs, carry out the calculations of profitability of the new products.

Launch phase:
-You present the product to the sales teams.

-You brief the communication manager for the development of launch materials (including sales prospecting tools).
-You follow the communication and trade marketing actions with the communication Manager (catalog, website publication, Linkedin publication, sales folder, e-mailing…).
-You ensure the transversal coordination.
-You do the post-launch follow-up of the performance of the launched products.
-You maintain a competitive intelligence.

In this role you are responsible for developing knowledge and expertise:

-of target customer needs in order to optimize the range of products offered.

-of pulp and paperboard materials including the end of life cycle (recycling of pulp and paperboard materials in different European countries).

You will be in charge of monitoring and updating product information for sales staff and customers.
You will maintain a regular competitive watch on new materials and technologies used.



You have a bachelor or university degree in marketing or equivalent experience
Experience in a B2B environment in the food industry/packaging Industry as a Product Manager/Category Manager is an asset
You have an excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of another language is a plus
You are an excellent project manager and have a very good operational efficiency
You are known for your creative and innovative side
You have a good commercial sense and do not hesitate to go on the field to understand the needs of our customers
MS Office suite has no secrets for you
Knowledge of B-to-B communication tools (Linkedin, news website,…) is a plus
You have a very good management of your priorities
You are organized, rigorous and meticulous
You are autonomous, proactive and flexible
You are dynamic and autonomous by nature
