Financial Controller

With the acquisition of LBP Manufacturing in 2020 and KeCo in 2021, Sabert has extended its product range to include carton solutions. These cardboard packaging solutions are perfectly in line with current market trends.

Your mission

As Financial Controller, you will carry out and coordinate all the economic, financial and operational analyses needed to monitor the company’s results, and support the Finance and Administration Director in his work. You will play an active role in the field, interacting with all departments.

Your responsibilities

Budget and forecasts

  • In liaison with the Finance and Administration Director, and based on exchanges with other departments, you will draw up an annual budget (and quarterly forecasts) for sales, production, purchasing, expenses, etc.
  • You coordinate annual and quarterly sales forecasts for the financial forecast in collaboration with the Sales Manager, the Supply Chain Manager and the Demand Planner;
  • You collaborate and coordinate the preparation of budgets for each of the company’s departments, with a focus on the production activity;
  • You identify elements with a significant impact on forecasts;
  • You establish all the performance indicators needed to monitor results over the course of the year, quickly identifying deviations and proposing solutions to reduce them;
  • You ensure that everyone complies with the schedule.

Closing and reporting

You monitor and analyze monthly sales;

  • You monitor past and future net sales margins. You analyze the margins of key customers and identify areas for improvement with the Sales Department;
  • You analyze the various variances in production activity and draw up past and prospective monthly reports;
  • You establish, validate and challenge all departmental performance indicators and costs on a monthly basis, in direct contact with their managers;
  • On the basis of various analyses, including sales, production and other costs, you prepare accounting entry supports to ensure the accuracy of the accounting result;
  • You develop results monitoring reports using database management tools (e.g. Business Warehouse), and adapt and supply all results monitoring reports on time;
  • You automate follow-up procedures;
  • You ensure that defined control procedures are applied and assess their relevance;
  • Every month, you draw up the company’s cumulative and future income statement, identifying and valuing the main items impacting it;
  • You take the initiative in any useful analysis to improve the result and propose improvements in collaboration with department managers;
  • You will develop the function so as to offer the whole company a competent service in all matters relating to the financial monitoring of activities, and ensure the implementation of an effective and robust control system and sound risk management;
  • You will act as a service center for all departments.

Costing

  • You ensure the validity and continuous updating of costing in SAP for all products (manufactured and purchased);
  • You identify and challenge the impact of material costs, changes in production revenues and hourly rates for production activities during budgeting.

Projects and investments

  • You participate in and/or lead a variety of industrial, commercial and marketing projects;
  • You are the guarantor of cost analyses and the profitability of projects and investments.

Your profil

  • You have a Master’s degree in economics or equivalent;
  • You have professional experience in an industrial environment;
  • You are fluent in French and English;
  • You have excellent knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint;
  • You are familiar with SAP (FI – CO – MM modules);
  • You have experience in database management (Business Warehouse, PowerBI);
  • You have a sense of service and collaboration in the field;
  • You have an analytical approach and an eye for detail;
  • You are organized and able to meet deadlines;
  • You are assertive and have excellent communication skills.
