The mission of the Manufacturing and Engineering Department is to ensure the production of products in quantity and quality in accordance with the established schedule in compliance with the rules in force while guaranteeing the safety of the personnel and the installations; to ensure the control of the production costs and the productivity of the lines in accordance with the established budgets; to bring the necessary know-how and technical expertise to support and implement the product development and the growth of the company in all its technical aspects such as the capitalization of the know-how, the design of the tools, the evolution of the machines and the installations


The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the definition, coordination and implementation of technical projects within production.

Your responsibilities

Technical projects
You plan the development of technical projects in collaboration with your superior
You ensure the maintenance of documents and create a documentation center in order to optimize their management: plans, drawings, instructions for use, diagrams, etc.
You are in charge of coordinating the realization of projects within your department as well as with the other departments concerned
You provide technical support in the field and to subcontractors
You are responsible for training your manufacturing colleagues in the use of new equipment
Technical progress
You lead and/or actively participate in all progress initiatives and tests carried out in production. You bring your expertise by examining the facts in order to improve the operation of the machines
Thanks to your ability to observe and analyze the field, combined with your technical expertise, you propose solutions to improve tools and processes in order to optimize production
You accompany the evolution of tools and processes
You ensure the commissioning of new production tools
You actively participate in the optimization of existing tools and processes in collaboration with suppliers, maintenance and engineering

Safety – Quality
You actively participate in the drafting of risk analyses
You examine accidents and incidents carefully and after analysis, you participate in the implementation of corrective actions
You communicate with the SIPP concerning safety procedures (3 green lights, new equipment, new processes, new organization, regulations, accident analysis…) in order to reinforce safety
You are required to monitor the correct application of machine instructions and report any anomaly to your superior
You make sure that your colleagues understand and implement the information related to internal procedures (respect of safety signs, information related to the risk of fire, work procedures with third parties…)
You are responsible for organizing the welcome of each new employee who starts at Sabert within the manufacturing department so that they receive all the necessary procedures

Your profile

You are an industrial engineer in materials or mechanics or equivalent experience.
You have a minimum of two years experience in a development and project management related role.
You have an excellent knowledge of MS Office.
You are familiar with CAD software.
You are fluent in both spoken and written English, knowledge of Dutch is an asset
